I am a Denver-based Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, Embodiment Coach, Yoga Teacher, Teacher Trainer and Mentor, with over 1500 hours of training and certifications.
What that means is, I am skilled at helping you to get out of your head (future planning, past remembering, ruminating in thought and story) and get into your body. By doing so, you allow the wisdom that you already have to guide you into a better alignment with yourself.
Whatever you are going through, those very basic and essential causes of human suffering - from life transitions (relational, work, location, situation), to that underlying sense of loss or longing or abandomnent, a fear of rejection, a doubt of self or self-worth, anxiety, depression, and anything in between, I can help you.
I work individually, with couples, and with groups, and my aim is always to help you to Live. Life. Better.
We all experience pain. And sometimes pain is acute and other times pain becomes chronic. Pain comes in the form of physical pain in illness or injury, it can show up as energetic pain as in the feeling of fatigue, it can be emotional pain such as a long-endured state of depression or anxiety or a seemingly inescapable emotionally abusive situation, or pain can be something of the mind in how we perceive and interact with the world.
No pain occurs in isolation; there is always an emotional component to a physical pain, and there is a physical component to an emotional pain. And this is where working with me can help.
As humans, we dance at the intersection of the bio-psycho-social-emotional-spiritual. And I help you explore that intersection thrrough Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, using dialogue, physical shapes and touch (or no-touch).
Whenever and however pain shows up, the difference between succumbing, acceptance and overcoming most often seems to be having an empathetic witness to your own process. This has been my experience both personally and professionally.
As a Phoenix Rising practitioner first and foremost, I maintain Unconditional Positive Regard for all of my students and clients, in whatever relationship we are working.

Yoga Asana for me is a physical exploration of this moment as it presents itself.
Our bodies tell the story of our life experience. How often do we get quiet enough, to allow our bodies to tell their story, to listen to what arises? How many incomplete stories are waiting to be told? My classes invite you to explore what is present, just as it is.
Both serious about the practice and engaging and curious, I challenge common thinking and drawing from the philosophy of yoga that all is connected, and encourage you to explore from your foundation physically, as well as psycho-emotional-spiritually. My teaching embodies the spiritual roots of yoga philosophy in a creative alignment-focused Vinyasa practice. I enjoy watching students' practices - and lives - transform.
